The Role
The work environment was very friendly and i believe i was given vey useful experiences and responsibilities.
The team and employees were really friendly and helpful. There was also a good humour amongst the staff and i felt very at ease to be myself and voice my opinions openly.
I feel i could have been given more support and guidance, especially at the start when i lacked confidence in using the computer systems. My manager was quite busy most of the time and therefore didn't dedicate as much time to training as i would have liked. Also, there was a dramatic change of management over the 3 months and so i didn't have an assistant manager for most of my internship.
Yes very busy but i preferred to very busy than just sitting around and not doing anything!
You were thrown into the deep end quite a bit, but i really enjoyed the challenges i faced. At first, its quite daunting but then you get to grips with it.
Helped me be more independent and confident. I am definitely more confident in dealing with difficult customers and not letting the pressure get the better of me.
The Company
Really friendly and happy. I really enjoyed the team i was working with!
Quite organised. At times i felt there was no end goal and i didn't really know what was fully expected of me.
There was a lack of training as the manager was very busy and there was a change of management throughout my internship.
Financial Bonus
Yes very appealing. The career progression is very fast once you become a management trainee. It does also depend on your enthusiasm and how pro-active you are.
The Culture
Yes we had a couple of nights out which were really good!
Quite cheap! I commuted so i didn't know how much the cost of living was but presume it was standard for the SE area.
Yes was really good nightlife in Brighton and other areas!
Sometimes the hours were anti-social so it was hard to go to the gym and see friends etc.
