The Role
Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience.
Colleagues were very friendly and helpful.
People manager regularly was in contact to support and give guidance. Buddy was also helpful, as were the teams I worked with.
It varied. Some days were too busy and others were too slow-paced. In general, the balance was good.
Given responsibility for preparing work independently (obviously this was reviewed, but other than that, the responsibility was there)
The placement wasn't particularly relevant to my degree but is very useful for a career in any similar role.
The Company
Teams were generally very sociable.
Extremely well organised.
The first week (of 6) was entirely training. Additionally, there were several training days throughout.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Very good. Sucessful completion of an internship often leads to a job offer.
The Culture
All the interns met up every so often to catch up and socialise.
Fairly cheap as I lived at home (or was working away which was covered).
Leeds is a fairly good city for nightlife.
Many social clubs and activities.
