The Role
Your opinion matters from the moment you gain knowledge on your subject. You will provide updates to your senior leaders, or feed to markets around the world on queries they may have. You are given an ownership of an area that noone else might know about so you feel as a valuable member of the team.
There is plenty of people to reach out for help, there are sessions scheduled to build up career relevant skills form senior leaders. There is a lot of support for whatever you can imagine and everyone is really happy to help.
The daily load varies, but the initially responsibilites do not take a lot of your time. You end up looking for extra projects so it might end up beneficial as you work on something you are intrested in.
The responsibility progresses as you progress in your placement. After a while you can ask for more responsibilities and start projects that could influence a wide area- that is only if you have ambition for it. Everyone wants to see you learn and develop so there is great level of support and advice you can ask for.
The Company
Atmosphere is very friendly. You will probably sit in an open office with a lot of coleagues around you. Everyone chat and work together daily but there are also area for quiet work if piece of mind is what you need.
There is a definite structure in place to ease you in your role. I felt it was well organized and planned and there is always a next stage you are working towards to get to that gives you a sense of progression. It gives a great sense of satisfaction when you look few months back to see how much you developed in that time.
There is a lot of sessions, societies and workshops to join all the time. They range from technical skills in excel/powerpoint/Visual Basic, through business related games to develop you analysis to a sessions on how to manage a relationship with your boss. There is plenty for whatever you are focused on
