    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The office was very enjoyable, but the second intake had the unfortunate timing of missing out on all the socials that the earlier intern intake were able to experience. Although, went out for drinks every Friday after work.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I was given a host of responsibilities that tied in with current deadlines and hence my work was valued.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Despite being given a lot of responsibility, there was always coaching available and you could ask anyone for help.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • It varied, depending on if you were at clients or not. If you were at clients, then you would be busy all the time. In the office, there were times for waiting for work, but you could keep yourself busy with e-learning and research.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The atmosphere was generally very friendly and welcoming - the odd baking on offer during Friday.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • There was a varied amount of organisation with the amount of work were assigned to. Some managers weren't aware of interns being booked onto clients whereas other managers actively used interns to give them challenging tasks.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • PwC invest heavily in you with all the training at a residential course in Latimer, and expenses for travelling to clients other than work. They are also accommodating of any personal issues you have, so they work round you.
