The Role
From the very first meeting at the 4* Hotel in Latimer, where all the interns had their induction, to the very last meeting to debrief and say goodbye in Manchester office, every moment of the internship was absolutely great.
I was assigned a buddy, who took care of me from the moment I got the internship offerr, called me every couple of weeks to check whether I have any questions about the job, team, etc... I was also assigned a people manager who supervised my assignments, evaluated on my feedback etc.. My colleagues were absolutely great.
My manager, the lovely Claire, who was responsile for my job assignments, was absolutely amazing. I could ask her any question I had regarding the workload, IT System, finance and accountancy questions, etc...
I was busy for at least 7.5 hours a day. Some days I stayed for longer, but it really depended on what the assignment and deadline were.
Initially I was told I would be doing the easier and less interesting tasks, but at the end I realised I was given the most complex tasks to tackle, like valuations and journals in auditing, and writing the full internal audit report for a client.
I was given to much new information and learning material it is just unimaginable. The networking skills and presentation skills, the teamwork; just great!!!
The Company
Even though the Manchester office employs more than 800 employees, it was still a very good atmosphere there. We all shared a few pints on Fridays, enjoyed time with interns during lunch time.
From the internship application to the actual internship, it as greatly organised. The buddies, people managers, managers, fellow associates, they all were always there to offer assistance and help, find another assignment, get different pieces of work.
I would say that about half the time at PwC I was actually in a training rather than on a job. The investment in my development was absolutely huge, I was impressed.

The internship is actually a pipeline towards a job offer, and unless you screw up really bad, you are generally given a job.
The Culture
Great, went out every Friday with all the others.
