The Role
This internship is enjoyable. There is great oppurtunity to deal face to face with customers as well as taking responsibility for the running of the branch.
Everyone in Enterprise gets along very well. There are a number of social events which enterprise arranges in order for people to get to know each other outside of the work place.
You do get a lot of support from your manager. There are times where you will need to be self sufficient however your manager is always on hand to lend support if anything becomes a struggle.
As I worked in an airport location I was extremely busy due to the sheer volume of customers. This was fine for me personally as I prefer to work in a fast paced environment but please be aware of this if you are working in a busy branch.
You are giving as much responsibility as you want. Again, as I worked in the airport there were times when I was the only member of staff in and so I really was running the show. There are great opportunities to really take responsibility for running day to day acitivities in the branch.
I really developed within my time at Enterprise. I feel I am a lot more confident in myself as there are times when you need to step up and make yourself heard. Again, there are also a lot of times when you are the one resonsible for the running of the branch so you really need to be confident in your desicion making abilities.
The Company
Everyone got a long very well, we were all friends and had numerous nights out together.
The only downside I would say is that I was told that there was an opportunity to stay on with the company part-time however this decision was changed at the very end of my internship and so I don't feel that was very well communicated throughout the internship, things were left to the last minute leaving me having to quickly look for a job as my internship was at an end and I didnt have anything else in place due to what I was originally told.
The training we received was excellent and it continues throughout your time there. The itnerns are brought back together 3 times throughout the 3 months to have additional training and also to share their experiences with each other.
Company Parties/Events
Every intern has the opportunity to come back when they have graduated as a Management Trainee without going through the application process again.
The Culture
We were all great friends and still are! We still make the opportunity to meet up.
Socialising is not too expensive as you are right next to the city centre where you can always find something cheap to do.
The Glasgow night life is amazing.
I didn't really look at the opportunities outside of work.
