The Role
A useful experience, but as I should have known the work itself is not exactly exciting. Lots of excel and data analysis.
Everyone was polite - never rude - but nevertheless sometimes colleagues would not show up to meetings etc
Good support was always available when requested.
There was always work to do, even if it meant you had to be a bit proactive.
Some of the projects I worked on were central to the workings of any supply chain. They may go on to dictate how millions of pounds of stock are managed.
Excel and data analysis skills will always be useful, as will the experience of work life and the chance to give presentations to the team. Note: pretty much nothing in the way of formal/organised training.
The Company
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Was recommended for the grad scheme, but will need to pass another interview to get a place.
The Culture
Great, vibrant, young office. There's also a great intern community given there is a committee that organises events.
London...
London!
Not so much as organised by L'Oreal, but you just need to use some initative.
