About You
There was a variety of panel discussions, case studies and work shadowing that made it enjoyable.
Employees were always willing to help us out, even when they were busy.
Generally we were told where to go and what to do, but I did feel that for the group presentation we could have been given better department-specific advice. HR were always supportive.
You learn loads about banking within a very short period of time, so the information received is very helpful, though the skills need to be developed over time.
The Company
Timetable and booklet were provided at the start of the programme and generally everything was kept to the times outlined.
Enjoyed every minute of it. Everyone is really friendly which adds to how much you enjoy the week.
Organised lots of events and shadowing/ panel discussions, which clearly took a lot of time and expense.
Explained the summer internship very well, but not much was mentioned about the graduate programme and full-time work.
Everything lead back to the culture and the current focus of the girm
Very useful as it helped you to decide if you wanted to apply for an internship
Everything Else
Travel and accommodation provided
Networking lunches, a networking dinner as well as a rotational panel discussion meant there was lots of chances.
Really relaxed chance to meet people who answered lots of our questions
I don't think this was mentioned during the week
It's a great learning opportunity, but I would say that you learn more in different divisions.
