The Role
The work was challenging but beneficial. I was doing work which would be carried out by fellow associates from the first day of the internship; which is effectively which I would be doing in a graduate position with the company
The people and fellow employees within the firm where the best part about it. Every one made you feel welcome and always found time to help or answer any questions you had.
The support from my manager over the six weeks was fantastic. Similar to that we were granted a people manager and a buddy who also had time to make sure I was comfortable and satisfied with the job I was doing.
When I began the internship it was already well planned out on 'retain'. I was already booked into clients and even when one cancelled I was found other work to do. As well as this I found enough time to complete my compliance training and my dragons den project.
From week 1 I was emailing and phoning clients to ask questions and make inquiries over certain discrepancies. I was also booked into a client myself for a couple of days.
The skills involved in my internship will aid the way I think about my studies and also help my dissertation as well as set me up for a graduate job next year.
The Company
Great, all the other employees were great and always had time to talk to you.
Very well from the beginning to the end. Everything was planned out on retain after the first induction week.
The firm took lots of time to make sure the interns where comfortable, treated well and got the full experience they deserved.
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
I was offered the graduate position in my line of service!
The Culture
Yes everyone was friendly and attended social events.
Relatively cheap, travelled from home.
Glasgow has a great night life.
There were some social events and also sports clubs that I heard of but didn't get the chance to get involved in the golf or football as I was only there for a short period of time.
