The Role
Very enjoyable and challenging work.
They were very friendly and helpful, willing to spend they time by explaining concepts/reviewing my code/helping in any other way possible.
Support is given to the extent you need it. They will not hold your hand from the beginning to the end, if you do not specifically ask for it.
Since I was making my own time management, this is more evaluation of my skills than skills of my manager. But, he is there to help you out if you have any problems with that.
My code will actually ship to the customer, what else can I ask for?
Apart from programming skills, which may become useful, I also learned to communicate technical and work-related information in concise manner, which will definitely be useful to my future career.
The Company
The office is large, with around 40 people in, so the atmosphere is busy and all conversations are work-related. The fun happens in canteen or in a pub :)
Very good - we got all the important information well ahead. Also, we were living in company accommodation, which is very convenient and saves a lot of trouble (and money as well!)
My manager spent time preparing presentations with me, and discussing my strengths and weaknesses in this area.
Flexi Time
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Didn't get it yet, but it is a very promising career option for the future.
The Culture
A lot of interns, living together, working together and partying together. I enjoyed it very much.
Company accommodation helped reduce the cost of living to a minimum, and Enfield is a cheap place (either to socialise in, or to get to central London)
Not much was going on...
Lunchtime sports every single day, pub trips at least once a week.
