The Role
Hays is a great company to work for. They care about their employees and the training the is given is first class. You are made to feel welcome and they treat you as an employer not just a placement student.
Everyone cares for everyone else. Your office is like a family and anyone is more than happy to help you out wherever needed.
Training before and during my placement so far has been extensive. We sit down and have POA's daily so that you know you are on the correct path. My manager always makes sure I am ok if I am unsure about anything.
Always busy. Its good - fasted paced and I know what I am meant to be doing.
They give me the correct amount of responisbility I can handle. They dont throw you in at the deep end but they give you progression in good sizable chunks.
The skills I have learnt so far have been extremely helpful. They are relevant to my course in terms of people management and business management. Working as an employer with a great company and being aware of what they offer can help with my degree and with my future.
The Company
Has a good productive working atmosphere but is light hearted and fun at times.
Easy. Everything ran extremely smoothly. Not just as a placmenet student but watching and seeing how other new employees came in to the business.
The training I have recieved from Hays is first class. They invest a lot of money into training and developing experts in their specific fields. Employees are the most important part to Hays.
Financial Bonus
I have heard they offer jobs to many of their placement students and I will be very keen on accepting a job with Hays following my degree if I was offered.
The Culture
Yes! I work alongside another placement student and I carried out my 4 day training with other placement students.
I live near work and live at home with parents so it very cheap.
Bssingstoke doesnt have nightlife...even if it did I wouldnt go out there. However Hays always offer incentives within teams to go to London so nightlife is not something that anyone looks for.
Going to visit clients and candidates are the only out of work activities that you do with Hays. Apart from going out with Hays for incentive based activities, however this doesn't happen that often.
