The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my work placement! I was made to feel extremely welcome within my department and learnt a lot through workshops and talks from senior colleagues.
Definitely felt like family when I left. I was genuinely upset to leave such a loving team.
Brilliant manager, he was always making sure I was happy and was flexible to allow me to shadow other departments etc.
It came in peaks and troughs, some days I was very busy and others not so much. I was always able to ask for more work though if I wasn't busy.
Towards the end of the placement I was put in charge of scheduling one of the channels and was pretty satisfied with that. I always felt like I had help and support throughout my placement so that I never had too much pressure - there was always someone to check over the schedule and let me know how to improve etc.
Received absolutely brilliant training. Right from the outset of the first day's induction - using Microsoft Outlook etc, the first week - getting to grips with the specialist software and throughout the internship with several workshops e.g. CV & Interview Skills, and Lunch & Lunch sessions with senior employees.
The Company

The Culture
As most of us started on the same day we definitely all got to bond and regularly went out for meals, outings and drinks.
West London is not a highly affordable place to live however if you do enough planning beforehand you can find somewhere within commuting distance.
There were several bars in the business park where I worked as well as on Chiswick high road.
Many activities going on at the business park etc.
