About You
Had a trainee 'buddy' plus an Associate as 'supervisor', in whose office I sat. Both were really helpful and open to questions. Support from other areas of the firm (eg library services and secretaries) was also widely available.
Good presentation skills and group negotiation workshops.
The Company
Perfectly structured. Really well organised team presentations, Q&A sessions and networking events. Grad Rec were around really often to answer questions and make sue everything went seamlessly.
Really personable: the trainees and Grad Rec were particularly good at putting us at ease. There was no sense of competition or nastiness between students.
Presentation skills workshop as well as a fun group negotiation exercise. Both were good opportunities to pick up new skills and get feedback on your performance.
Really well. I had a really lovely trainee buddy who kept me well informed as to her day's work.
Everything Else
Paid £250 per week.
Yes. Daily sector team presentations and frequent Q&A sessions with people of all seniorities.
Super fun! First week was cocktail making classes in Shoreditch and second week was a lovely steak meal in Smithfields. Trainees were super sociable too, and invited us for coffee/drinks a few times.
Good pro bono presentation and people were always willing to talk about their hobbies.
Absolutely: a really welcoming atmosphere and superb organisation meant it was a really varied, fun two weeks.
