The Role
The job was better than I expected. I was given the same level of responsibility as all my team members and was running my own desk straight away. The level of training I received was brilliant too and I learnt a lot!
I was made to feel apart of the team instantly! Everyone was so friendly and helpful.
My manager and director have been so helpful and really pushed me to help my self development. Our team development days were fun and encouraging usually to hit our targets using incentives! There are also national competitions between depts in other regions which get the team working well together.
I was always busy and would never be stuck for something to do, which I enjoy!! The days went so fast there wasnt time for clock watching.
I had the same level of responsibility as the rest of the team and I was running my own jobs, candidates and clients. Time management is a big factor in this job and prioritising what needs to be done. The level of interaction with candidates and clients was very high and filling your own job feels like such an achievement
With the range of skills I have developed at Hays and through the extensive training, I have gained so much that will definatly be skills for life. Managing my time and confidence are probably the most important to me.
The Company
In worked in such a great team, we all got on so well and encouraged and supported each other.
Everything was great, not a bad word to say about the organisation of the placement.
I had regular training, reveiws and support from my manager and director who are very hands on!
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Healthcare/Dental
I would love the chance to come back to Hays after I have graduated, so fingers crossed...
The Culture
There is quite a few placement students in the office but I tended to socialise more with my team as we all got on really well
I lived in Birmingham with my parents so housing wasnt an issue and my rent was cheap! So not too sure what the real cost of living would be.
There is a range of places you can go int Birmingham, some of it isnt the cheapest of places but you can still have a great night out. Taxis are very expensive though!
Theres loads of things to do in Birmingham!
