The Role
I throughly enjoyed the responsibilities I got to face every day.
I got along with the whole team and they valued me as a hard worker and a team player.
My supervisor was mostly there for me if I needed any kind of support and they were very helpful.
I had a different variety of tasks and activities to do
For most of my placement, my first supervisor got extremely ill and therefore I was running the IT PMO office on my own for 3-4 months.
I hope the skills that I've developed will be beneficial within the long term.
The Company
The office was quite fun to work in
In my view, GEMHL had a great placement scheme however each of the intern's specific roles in the company will differ. But overall, the scheme was well run by HR.
They invested alot of training and development for me which I was very happy with.
Company Parties/Events
I would be quite happy to try and apply for their graduation scheme however I will definetely give my options open also.
The Culture
The other interns are fantastic! Definetely some of them will be friends for life.
Living south can be quite expensive, especially quite close to Watford however I just managed with the cost of living and socialising.
Watford isn't really a great nightlife in my eyes (if you enjoy dance, then maybe). It's really a six cause you can always go into the capital and party but it is atad steep!
I got involved in some volunteering work while my time on placement.
