The Role
I carried on real responsibility, make real changes on my team, participate in a wide range of activities (e.g. speaker sessions, CSR day, boat party, mask party). I managed to talk to so many people from all over the world and build up a connection with my colleagues.
I have a very good relationship with my team and people who I work with. They made my time in J.P. Morgan!
My manager is very kind and knowledgeable who guides me through my internship from the beginning to the end.
I am quite busy just because I am eager to take repsonsibilities and involve in quite a few extra activities which are optional but benefit me a lot (e.g. broaden social network, get a work-life balance, etc.)
I am working on a project team and my task really makes a real effect to the team.
Skills in listening, communication, project management, organisational, interpersonal, stress management, time management, etc.
The Company
People are friendly but they cannot really spend too much time talking to you as they are too busy, which I understand.
I am happy about the programme overall.
The company fully pays for all the trainings I did.
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Definitely choose J.P. Morgan if you go for Operations. They invest heavily on developing this business area which often less emphasised by most investment banks in the industry.
The Culture
Everyone is friendly and kind. I met many good friends here and I will definitely miss them so much after the internship.
Socialising in Bournemouth is good. Not as expensive as working in London but you get fewer choice definitely.
Good enough for me.
There are loads of activities you can join in J.P. Morgan Bournemouth e.g. 27 employees groups, volunteering activities and sport clubs; and also the activities equipped in the programme e.g. parties, school & college engagement project, etc.
