The Role
My assigned project had a well-balanced mix of challenge and alignment with my skillset. Enjoyable.
I got on pretty well with my team. I still felt bottom of the pack as intern though, despite their professionalism with me.
I had a weekly 1:1 meeting with my manager, which got cut on occaisions when work was tough. I had enough support to get on with my project, or be steered in the right direction.
There was a good flow of work, and my project set realistic and acheivable targets.
Project definitely designed to have an impact on the business and mimic real-life pressures and contraints, though not a terribly important project - but what can you expect as an intern with limited experience?
Gained practical time management, software engineering and communication skills.
The Company
Quiet. Technology is quiet. Friendly and professional, however.
I had clear project goals from the outset, and setup of my computer, etc. was sorted in the first week.
We were able to attend a number of useful talks about the organisation, and meetings with senior employees to gain insight into the company. There was also a catalogue of useful finance tutorials.

Enticing deal, will have to assess whether or not the industry is best suited to me personally. It's definitely a strong organisation with a good ethos.
The Culture
Yeah, we went out a couple of times - others more! We also had an internal 11 v 11 football match, and I was able to go to a 5-a-side tournament as well.
It's Canary Wharf. It's London. It's expensive.
Good, it's London.
There was a day in which we completed community work in Mile End Park, and a couple other perks such as the mid-internship Thames boat party and end-of-internship event in OXO tower!
