The Role
Very interesting work which is actually valuable to the company.
Everyone was absolutely lovely. I was treated like a member of the team not just an intern, but everyone was more than happy to offer help and advice.
I was given the support I needed and knew that I could always ask for help, but was otherwise left to get on with my project, which was perfect for me.
It varied. Towards the end of the placement I was very busy but at the start it was a bit slow. I think this was because I only had one project so if I was waiting on data or a meeting I didn't have much to do.
I was completely responsible for my project, but it was very self contained so I wasn't overseeing anyone elses work etc.
Learnt a lot of very useful excel skills! Also learnt a lot about how to interact with people in the work place. Not useful for my studies but definitely useful for my future career.
The Company
Very friendly. A good balance between there always being someone to talk to but work actually getting done too!
Some HR problems before the placement started and in the first couple of weeks but once I was with my team and had got started everything ran smoothly.
They taught me everything I needed to know to do a project which was really valuable to them (and to me!) and did a performance review to help me understand my performance. No formal training really.

Subsidised/Company Gym
Got a place on the grad scheme for next year.
The Culture
Yes. A lot of us lived together so we all got to know eachother and went out together. It's really up to you whether you want to get involved in this or not though.
Average really. Obviously much cheaper than London but also not as nice!
Ok, but not great. We went to the same club pretty much every week! We were in big groups though so it didn't really matter.
Not really anything organised by JLR.
