The Role
The internship was well organised and an effort to create networks between all interns were successful. Once in the office, however, I often had no work, or a lot of admin.
My budy and manager were very helpful and mad me feel at ease. I joined during a transition period for the company and hence it was awkward for everyone in the office at times.
People above me in the company were both approachable and willing to help.
Often had nothing to do despite asking, maybe making sure departments are more prepared filling the calender before you start would solve this.
Sometimes there was a lot of admin and printing, which often made me feel undervalued
No doubt you learn about the working world and yourself when in the office enviroment.
The Company
The work wasn't for me, but the atmousphere was friendly and people got along very well with one another.
The grad recruitment team ran a very well organised placement.
There was certainly and effort to give training which was nice to see but sometimes the training could of been more useful. A weeks training in Birmingham, however, did show off the willingness of the company to invest in us.
Subsidised Canteen
Even if I don't take it the people and links I made there will certainly help me in the future.
The Culture
Made lots of friends with fellow interns and the grad recuitment team put on some fun socials to make sure we all got to know on another.
It was in central London so somewhere inbetween, the internship paid enough to socialise, but probably not to socialise and save!
On pay day at least.
I got to go on a team social. Other interns got involved in sports tournaments.
