The Role
Personally, the internship was what I was looking for. It played on my strengths but was also able to bring to light my developmental areas. I feel that this is important when starting out your career, i.e. to know what you should be working on. In addition to this, the resources provided and people I met were very supportive. So altogether the experience was really good.
I did feel valued by my colleagues right from the early morning greetings to being helped with my work when I was struggling. I also went to them for career advice, training or just lunches and coffees to get to know each other. I appreciated that they always made time for me.
My manager was very supportive. He had the perfect balance of not holding my hand along too much but also not leaving me completely to me own devices.
Most of the time I was quite busy becuase there was a lot to cover but I enjoyed this so it's really about what you're looking for.
I was given a lot of responsibility. I managed one of my own projects, I couldn't believe they let me have so much responsibility at intern level.
This was one of the highlights of my internship. I took up a lot of training and was even encouraged by my manager to do full day trainings on various things from negotiation skills to GEM to excel.
The Company
A good balance of chatter, banter and work.
There was a clear structure but there were times when things went out of structure too and that was a good thing because that's how work is done in real life so it gave me exposure to that.
As I said earlier I was encouraged to do full day trainings and did do these. We had talks from senior speakers.

I can see myself with JPM. There are a lot of opportunities so you will almost always find something to complement your skill set.
The Culture
After work drinks, treats in the office, lunches.
Standard for London
It's Canary Wharf, there's no nightlife in the immediate area I worked but it's London so it's really just a couple of tube stops away.
Not with colleagues but yes you could fit something around your schedule if you were keen to do so.
