The Role
PLEASE NOTE: This review was for a placement at General Motors prior to the amalgamation of Vauxhall and General Motors (The RateMyPlacement Team) I've really enjoyed it so far, have been given a lot of responsibility and have learnt a LOT about PR.

When coming up to an event, vehicle launch, press launch etc then I'm really busy, so it depends on the timing.
Given a lot of responsibility, pretty much the same as other people who were not placement students.
I had never done PR before, so the skills I have learnt are completely new to me and very useful for what I want to do in the future. I don't think anything I have learnt at university has helped in my placement, so doing this year out at General Motors is definitly invaluable for once I start working after university.
The Company
Lots of undergrads - 40+ so a really good atmosphere
Good training, handover for two weeks with previous undergrad, social events organised etc.
Training mainly in the first two weeks, also other random training throughout.
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
They do not do PR graduate jobs - however through working with other PR agencies this increases likelihood of being able to work for PR agencies through my experience.
The Culture
Lots of undergrads, lots of nights out and 21st birthdays!
cheap to live. However Luton isn't that grreat for a night out, however nearby are London, Watford and MK so its not too bad!
As above - but nerar other better places.
Kind of - was involved in events outside of work hours, they also do fun activities for charity such as wakeboarding, bike rides.
