The Role
Really enjoyed the placement, as I was given a lot of responsibility and wide range of work that has given me a real insight into the working world.
I felt I had the perfect balance as I always had enough work, but also had enough time to complete the placement duties set by my university.
Was given a lot of responsibility on my projects that were set for me, I was also given budgets for new projects and was in charge of managing them.
Definitely skills for life. In particular the excel skills as this will really help me in my final year of uni, also time management so that I know how to have a good work/life balance. I think the office and email protocol is a really important skill that I have learnt in my year at Volkswagen.
The Company
I really enjoyed the office atmosphere, because I was in SEAT which is a smaller brand I got to know everyone around the office and that were all extremely friendly. I also really enjoyed the socials and brand updates that we had.
It was extremely well set up, however I feel the scheme would benefit from a mentor programme with someone on the management team. Also i would say with the volume of work it felt more like full time job rather than a placement scheme however that can be a good thing due to the experienced gained.
In terms of training the investment was good as there were plenty of courses available to book onto. Also the amount of time invested in you by your manager was extremely good, a mentor scheme would have been a bonus though.
Subsidised Canteen

From my final year review, the future prospects are very good as i will get a recommendation, however I will need to apply through the graduate scheme.
The Culture
Great group of undergraduates and we regularly socialised.
Milton Keynes had regularly standard for prices of socialising, however drinks prices were slightly on the expensive side.
Joined the work badminton class.
