The Role
I enjoyed going to work every morning, as I had set goals for each day to complete which were working towards the overall completion of the project. I also enjoyed working with all the team.
Everyone was welcoming and helpful when I started and made an effort to speak and include me. I felt valued as a colleague and treated like a real adult.
Was given full guidance and support throughout my time
most of the time I had a good balance of work.
Was trusted to complete tasks on my own, and in some cases put my own ideas into the project I was working on.
I am very thankful for the opportunity to work here over the summer as I have gained valuable experience and has introduced me to the working environment. I have learnt about different roles, that I hadn't known much about before so I am now open to looking at various career choices.
The Company
I enjoyed the atmosphere at work, although it was sometimes quiet when people were busy working on their own, there was also often times when there was group discussions and group working.
I always had tasks to complete
I was given sufficient training for using the programs I worked with during my time.
I would like to return to this organisation, having had a great first experience here, however I am currently looking to complete my degree first.
The Culture
I did not meet any other placement students.
The area was cheaper than most cities, and we occasionally went for lunch or out after work socialising.
I did not really go out at night in the area.
There are opportunities for permanent employees, but I did not come across any for me to take part in.
