The Role
Such a big range of opportunities and experiences available over the course of the internship. I was treated like a full-time employee so was given lots of projects to do, so it really is hands-on. You really get pushed to try your best and work hard, and as a result of that it really helps to develop such a wide range of skills.
I was treated like an integral part of the team. I was always supported and my ideas were really valued, and my team were wonderful so I fit right in and enjoyed every day.
There was a lot of support from my managers and were always there to help me with any issues I was facing, even during really busy periods of the day, so there was always someone to help me out. The support system is incredible and there is always someone happy to help even if they're not on your team.
Due to the department I was placed in I had a constant stream of work which was really good as I always had something different to do.
There were a lot of tasks I had to do by myself which was daunting at first but really helps to develop your skills and knowledge, and confidence as a person.
Time management, organisation, the drive to complete tasks to a high standard.
The Company
Due to the department I was in, there were periods in the day where requests were high so the atmosphere could get tense at times. Overall it was a really fun yet professional environment to work in.
It was structured extremely well and there was always something to do during the day. There were a lot of senior speaker sessions planned, and many netowkring events and also volunteer days so there was always a good balance between working and socialising.
My team put a lot of time and effort into training me properly and helping me with any problems I was facing.

The Culture
There was a really good balance between social activities and working throughout the internship.
I was at home so this didn't really affect me.
Canary Wharf has a range of places to go.
There were loads of opportunities; the variety was huge.
