The Role
I found ARM to be a great place to work and full of friendly and helpful people.
Everyone was friendly and willing to answer questions I had and listen to any points I made.
My manager always made it clear that I could get help from him if necessary.
There were times when I was waiting around for test runs to finish etc but mostly I had work to do without feeling over pressured by deadlines.
I worked on projects that could help and might be included in final released IP.
The skills I've learnt this summer will help me in my last year of university and hopefully will help me in any job I get in the electronics sector.
The Company
While very busy the office was full of friendly and helpful people.
It was well organised and followed much of the same as their graduate employment scheme.
I attended a UKESF Skills workshop sponsored by ARM.
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
I hope get a job in ARM once I have finished my degree.
The Culture
There is a well developed social scene in ARM Sheffield - both at lunchtime and on Friday (and other) nights.
Prices in Sheffield are reasonable.
The office is in the middle of Sheffield so all of the city was close enough in the evenings.
As I was only an intern for 3 months I didn't get involved in everything I could but there were plenty of opportunities.
