The Role
I enjoyed my internship a lot better since there were other interns I could talk to. Having said that, my internship was very boring and not exciting at all. It was as if they didn't plan to have an intern as I had over a month of having no proper work to do. It was very basic scanning and printing off documents
My colleagues were very lovely and welcoming. They always offered help and assistance wherever possible. However some senior staff within the division were very arrogant and were rude and aggressive in the way they spoke to me at times.
On quite a few occasions I was given tasks without full instructions which would have me going to ask for further clarification or leaving me not completing the task properly. It was quite embarrassing as it appeared that I was being careless when it was my manager not giving me full instructions. On many occasions I was given tasks to do which I would quickly complete and I would tell them that I have finished. My manager wouldn't comment at all until I brought it up later. I would often have to push for feedback on the completed task a week later which they would respond 'I have a meeting about it next month so I don't need it till then. I would look at it next month'
I was very bored as I barely had demanding tasks after the second week of my internship. Just repetitive scanning or printing off sheets
I didn't have responsibilities during this internship
I did develop my knowledge of what skill were needed for the workplace which was very useful.
The Company
They was a friendly atmosphere in the office. People joked around with each other a lot, which lived m internship up a lot
I felt like they only planned to have for two weeks as I didn't have demanding after that. It was very basic scanning and printing with the odd job here or here to do something interesting. It was very disappointing
I had no personal training at all.

Overall I did like the feel of The Bank. Events like the 'Inflation report' and the 'FPC pre-briefing' really influenced my plan for the future which I am grateful off. I would like to come back to the Bank to work but not just in the department I was working in.
The Culture
My team didn't really socialise much, probably because they were much older with families.
I didn't socialise much and I was living at home already.
