The Role
Although the role itself was mainly admin based there was plenty of room to adapt and increase my role. I learnt the real value of networking as it enabled me to get in touch with new people and get involved in different projects. Am really keen to get a place on the graduate scheme. Brilliant company to work for if you want to get ahead of the crowd.
My team were more like my friends than my collegues. To be honest all IBMers are really approachable. You can meet almost anyone for a coffee to talk about their role.
There was a certain degree of support but not enough to be suffocating. My manager came in once a week to sit with me but the rest of our contact was virtual.
Many varied tasks.
We worked as a team supporting over 3 thousand practitioners.
I found this placement year with more use than the whole 3 years of my university studying! A view shared by many of my collegues...
The Company
In the office you're expected to work hard and be professional. Work nights out are a different story though!
Well organised but flexible.
They invest in your potential to be a future IBMer.

The Culture
Cracking nights out!
I was based in London which is always going to be more expensive. However as a paid internship with a little budgeting you can afford to go out.
It's London. What more do you want?!
