The Role
Really enjoyable work placement, with the opportunity to get involved in some high profile client facing work.
Received positive recognition and feedback from other team members, during feedback sessions and more informally.
On-the-job training and development largely, there was the opportunity to always ask questions when required.
Satisfactory levels of work, which could be wide ranging in how stimulating and time consuming it was.
Extensive knowledge of particular industries and sectors meant the opportunity to take on significant levels of responsibility was possible.
Gained a number of transferable skills that are applicable to jobs across a number of different fields.
The Company
Decent level of 'banter' within the team, made going to work a more enjoyable experience.
First intern in the particular dept. so not the most organised/structured, this wasn't necessarily always a bad thing though.
On-the-job training and other individuals were always willing to help, but very little structured training.
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
No official offer just hints. If a job was wanted with the organisation I couldn't imagine it being a particularly difficult process given the experience within the company and relationships established.
The Culture
N/A - no other interns in my office.
Average cost of living.
Could be better, but wasn't terrible.
Activities organised throughout the year for staff from different offices to attend.
