The Role
Enjoyed it - team was friendly and got me involved in their work, always had work to do but rarely was overloaded, had departmental talks and tours of the city to go to, social events were arranged by Savills
Was given work to do that was important and useful for them so I think that they felt I had made a valuable contribution
Had close contact with my mentor but my Head of Team was not there at all during the internship - this probably should have been addressed and I should have been given another director to have close contact with.
Never had no work to do, rarely had so much to do that I had to stay late
A bit - called up agents to get information on properties and had to produce work of a good standard but I wouldn't say I was given a huge amount of responsbility
I learnt quite a lot which has helped me at my next placement and I am sure will help me when I am studying next year
The Company
Friendly people but the other intern in my team and I were sat on a hot desk away from the team which was a shame
Well organised - we had talks to go to a couple of times a week, had a meeting with HR half way through the internship and had an appraisal with a director at the end
We didn't have any prior training
Company Parties/Events
I would definitely consider working for Savills, the people all seemed welcoming and friendly but driven for success at the same time
The Culture
Went for drinks most Thursdays and had a graduate summer party which we were invited to attend in the last week
West End is expensive
Lots of bars and clubs in the West End
No particularly
