The Role
Thoroughly enjoyed my placement, the work is interesting and there are many opportunities for challenges and self development.
Never treated as an intern, always treated as a true member of the team. My opinion is always valued within the team.
My Manager has been extremely supportive since the start of my placement. Weekly 1:1's give me the opportunity to raise any issues, though she's always around if I have any problems. I feel comfortable going to my manager with any issues.
At times I felt I didn't have enough to occupy myself, but as the months have progressed I have taken on more work to fill my time, giving me the challenges I need, but also have sufficient support from management to ensure I am not over-worked.
At first I was given an appropriate amount of responsibility, but as the months have developed this has gradually increased. I now own processes and have a great deal of responsibility.
Whilst the skills I have learnt may not necessarily directly help with my degree I have learnt a lot of life skills. Time management, presentation skills, and simple things like learning how to construct an effective email will remain throughout my career.
The Company
Great atmosphere in the office, a lot of interns around to socialise with, very relaxed atmosphere around the company.
