The Role
It was really good I got a real life experience of what a graduate role would be like, did the daily tasks plus got my own project.
My colleagues were really helpful; I was particularly fortunate to have two members of staff that were equally my mentors so if I felt worried asking too many questions to one I felt at ease asking the other to switch it up a bit! You could say well it was lucky I had two, but to be honest even if I didnt it wouldnt have changed anything really as the culture in my team was genuinely helpful friendly and approachable
My managers wanted to know what I wanted to get out of the experience not just strict agenda followers that made me feel in a positive frame of mind from the start.
I had daily tasks that increased as I became more familiar and quicker with the tasks I was doing and the support from my team was really good when I had to decrease my daily tasks in order to complete my personal project
I was really suprised that I actually got to do the graduate role tasks in a real way; from start to finish. I was just a part of the process. I have done an internship before where they are fumble to give you real work and just resort to filing when you complete tasks quicker than expected, so I expected the same from this but I was pleasantly suprised.
I learned a genuine way what networking in industry successfully was about, what is expected from employees within the firm and about a company's culture which is something we've touched upon already in my degree.
The Company
There was always treats; my dept has a heavy results based focus which was illustrated throughout my time there.
It was fantastic it was even organised for us to see how our dept works with other areas of the business.
They invested in us a lot for sure from the national networking day where we came from all over the UK to the personal talks relevant to our dept and visits to other depts. You coldnt really say they didnt invest in us

Had a one to one with my manager and they were very straight forward that they were impressed with my time and would be happy to offer me a graduate role.
The Culture
This was something that is already in place in terms of graduates hanging out and we were welcomed to join in and also it was easy to informally set up our own intern plans
Fortunate enough to be living with moma and commuting :) but obv act going out and having nights out in London is understandably expensive
It was my scene, not too "hipster" not too "snobby" :)
regents park is next door so at least one lunchtime a week you can go for a 5k jog (or more if youre able!) the firm takes charity and fundraising very seriously so theres lots of fun activities linked to that and lastly the office is set right next to regents place which hosts amazing entertainment at lunchtimes and after work.
