The Role
Boss made an effort to make the placement enjoyable and gave me a chance to focus on areas that interested me particularly. Had the chance to go on many tours of the facilities to increase understanding which was engaging and enjoyable
All colleagues were friendly and helpful and also sought help from me throughout my time. Were willing to explain anything both relevant to my work or to improve understanding.
Very supportive with regular feedback, help and guidance. Close work with my manager who would use my work in wider applications as well as allowing me to present it to others who needed anything I had worked on.
Periods that were more or less busy but always able to keep busy without ever feeling out of my depth.
Responsible of various on going projects, both minor and with an international impact so had a chance to advance my responsibilities throughout the placement.
Really helpful for CV and future career aspirations as well as in my future studies as I had a great insight into operations in a large company.
The Company
Sociable and chatty. Working environment but without needing to always be at your desk constantly.
Clear objectives, feedback and an understanding of how progress to future careers would work. Some problems around the changing of graduate schemes but it was handled very well. Had a careers consultant who I could speak to about progress onto the graduate programme.
Good training online and chance to develop my own skills, both presenting to and training employees at many levels within the organisation.

Company Parties/Events
Excellent visibility of how to progress to the graduate scheme and able to join the graduate scheme (with a bonus for completing internship and converting to the graduate scheme) without any further interview.
The Culture
Not bad and certainly left pay to enjoy other activities with, Bristol is pretty reasonable.
