The Role
Was an interesting project but did not feel supported enough by HR & IT at times
The other members of my team were very welcoming & helpful, made me feel like a valued part of the team.
Felt like I never saw them enough for them to have a full understanding of what I was achieving if I'm honest.
It got a lot busier towards the end but was ridiculously slow for the first 3 weeks.
Some, but not as much as precious placements.
I don't really feel like I learnt anything new on this placement.
The Company
The other members of my team were great but always got their work done.
Project was organised well from my manager's side. If I'm completely honest it was a disaster on the HR & IT side of things. I never had access to a computer for the first three weeks of my emails & I would spend days on the phone to the IT help desk without them taking me seriously. Eventually had to be escalated by my manager. This made be feel unvalued as an employee as they only took the problem seriously when my manager was involved. I felt that this was particularly unacceptable as I was a returning intern & they were aware that I would be starting 9 months previously.
Not a lot to be honest.
I think there is a good chance that they would offer me employment, however I am worried that they will not listen to/fulfil my needs.
The Culture
Only because myself & other interns/grads arranged them.
Was okay.
Not a lot of choice but the places we did go to were great fun. Could have been down to the people though.
A few from the AGA but nothing of interest so we never took it up.
