The Role
It was awesome, if it had been possible I would have extended my stay at RBC.
Everyone treats you with respect and if needed, will take time to walk you through tasks. The culture is really welcoming and the analysts are forever helpful.
They really go out of their way to provide you support and guidance, especially during the first few weeks.
It varies from team to team, but I was kept very busy.
If you show competency, make limited mistakes you will soon find yourself with more and more responsibility.
You will leave with your Excel, PowerPoint and formatting skills at an all time high.
The Company
Near enough everyone has a sense of humour and atmosphere was pretty enjoyable.
Cannot think of any issues in this regard to be honest.
One week training before the internship starts, the company continues to develop your potential throughout the internship.
Subsidised/Company Gym
I would recommend applying for a job with RBC.
The Culture
Regularly organised intern social activities (organised by the interns), also a decent social season with colleagues.
I lived at home and saved a substantial amount.
It was decent, good choice of bars and clubs.
Not really much going in terms of activities outside of work apart from going out.
