The Role
Wasn't sure what to think of the internship before and was a bit apprehensive as I am sure many other people were, but the internship turned out great. I learned a great deal and met many good people. I felt that I formed a great network.
I felt very valued, actually. They treated me like I was just a normal employee. Some people may think that they treat the interns differently but the employees at pwc valued my opinions greatly which I liked.
Excellent guidance and support by my manager. Felt I could ask him about anything. No such thing as a stupid question.
Actually felt that the work my manager gave me struck the perfect balance. I wasn't too busy nor had nothing to do which I felt made my enjoy the job. Coming in every day was a pleasure.
They gave me some responsibility but I would always have to check with my manager first. I was not making the sole decisions and this was wholly understandable.
Definitely skills for life. I have learned so much during the internship. I will certainly use the skills later in life.
The Company
Excellent. My team was very friendly and I felt I got to know them very well, very early on which was good. Drinks nights were organised quite often which I felt aided in this. Really fun, surprisingly.
Pretty well organised. Had regular communications and everyone knew what was happening at a particular time.
Quite a large focus on personal development. You set your objectives at the start of the internship and these are reviewed by your manager later on to see if you are on track/have achieved them. All in all, it allows you to see if you have improved personally as a person.
Company Parties/Events
Got a place on the grad scheme! Accepted.
The Culture
Yeah, social scene was really good. Met up for drinks/nights out fairly often.
Have to say that it was quite expensive. But it was worth it.
Nightlife in London is excellent. Lots of places to go. Different every time!
As I said earlier lots of events and things to go to outside of work. Was really good.
