The Role
The placement was fairly varied and offered the chance to work with different functions within the business.
You were made to feel welcome straight away.
I was given guidance but would have preferred more feedback as to how to improve.
At the start of the placement my day consisted largely of getting to know my role and repsonsibilities, though as my placement progressed I was given more tasks to do.
The level of responsibility given to me varied between my projects
My presentation skills have improved from my time working here.
The Company
The atmosphere was always quite lighthearted and easy to work in.
It was fairly organised to the extent that my line manager was always on hand to check my projects were going well.
I didn't have any training as such, though there are skills workshops on offer should you wish to do them.
Flexi Time
Subsidised/Company Gym
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Working from home
The grad scheme offers lots of opportunities to learn, however from this point there doesn't seem to be many chances to progress further.
The Culture
Yes, a lot of the placement students lived quite close making it easy to organise nights out.
Fairly expensive
Average
Unilever offered some sports teams but these were not widely advertised.
