The Role
Was given a lot of responsibility immediately which allowed me to prove my ability and learn at a fast pace. However, it could be too difficult for someone who has never completed a placement before. The work was very interesting and the team were very welcoming.
The team appreciated my work and gave praise/constructive criticism when applicable. They were also very understanding of my lack of previous experience in the field.
I enjoyed trying to complete the work myself, but at times it was difficult for supervisors to find time for me if I was really struggling.
The work load varied, at times little progress was made due to people prioritizing other meetings/projects ahead of mine
I loved how much responsibility I was given. Was challenging and exciting.
My role wasn't very technical, I didn't get a lot of opportunity to test my knowledge.
The Company
Great atmosphere.
Was slow getting started with regards to emails, phone etc.
They push for personal development.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
They aim to recruit a large percentage of interns
The Culture
There were loads of interns, made it very easy to find things to do.
Accommodation was quite expensive, but everything else was standard
Standard for a University area.
Sports and social clubs were available.
