The Role
Some of the work was exciting and interesting, but it got a little boring due to lack of work.
Given respect by being allowed to sit in on important meetings and asked for my insights.
Only had one supervisor, who was very competant, but a little busy.
Some days were very busy. others were very slow.
Given a couple of important tasks.
Better awareness of the industry.
The Company
The office was quiet. There was little interaction. Everyone was male except me.
We were told at the start we would have to do certain things for the internship (presentations, certain training...etc) but this was never followed through
It was really individual work, so little time was invested in training me.
They offered sponsorship and future job opportunities, but I turned them down.
The Culture
There were only five other interns, but we all lived at the university, so we socialised quite a bit.
University, student rates.
Plymouth city center. Pubs, clubs, bars, restaurants..
Helped volunteer at a families day, which had fairgroudn rides and other amusements.
