The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement year at Mott MacDonald and hope to return to the company following my degree.
My colleagues were very welcoming and I enjoyed socialising with them during the working day and outside of working hours.
My supervisors were continually supportive throughout my placement.
On a daily basis I was kept quite busy. However some days were busier than others.
I was given a lot of responsibility this year during placement. It was more than I expected when I first joined Mott MacDonald.
The skills I learnt this year are relevant for my degree and I will be using these skills in my final year.
The Company
The atmosphere in the office was relaxed but was focused on working.
My workload was well organised by my supervisor.
I was offered additional training courses along with CPD talks on a regular basis.
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
I hope to be offered a graduate job in the next month.
The Culture
I was the only placement student in my office therefore I socialised with other work colleagues not placement students.
Cambridge is quite an expensive place to socialise however, I was living at home therefore my cost of living was reduced.
The nightlife in Cambridge is resonanle as it is a student town.
The sports and social committee provided many opportunities to socialise and play sport outside of working hours.
