The Role
I've never worked in a environment with such friendly, knowledgeable and hard working people. ARM have the mix of work hard play hard near to perfect. I haven't finished yet but I know I won't want to when the time comes.
My colleagues from the first week were more like my friends and after a month the ones closest to me felt like family.
I was offered more support than I took I was always told I can ask anyone, regardless of department If I needed help. If they couldn't help me directly they could always point me in the right direction.
I'm not rating this as a Perfect Balance as this is not down to placement entirely. I was given the freedom of how much work I produce as it will effect only myself towards the end. If I felt over worked by the end of the day it was because I did it myself. If I felt like I didn't have enough to do, I always asked what to do next.
I was given access to information and areas avaliable that others that have worked here for years haven't had access to. Colleagues that had worked here for years would often come to me for information as I was working on an Engine that nobody else had experience with.
I have learned more from this placement so far than I have ever done in the same length of time at any point during my Education. I haven't just learned things in terms of academia but life skills and social skills as well.
The Company
There is no other way to put this. The atmosphere was always comfortable and exciting from even the first day.
Part of my internship involved solving the problems of organisation so for that to be possible there would have already had to have been issues. Needless to say I solved a few :)
ARM has a range of training programs in many areas, not always technical. To take part all you need do is sign up.

I would very much like a Job at ARM after I Graduate all I can hope for is that I am welcome :)
The Culture
There were several events where Students/Placements/Graduates/Interns all meet up.
Cambridge is okay it's a fairly large student city so a night out is okay, I've seen better :)
I usually go back to my University City for nights out so I can't comment too much on the area's nights out.
Plenty. I was invited to several activities by colleagues, full time employees and students alike.
