The Role
Great people throughout the firm and client variation was interesting
They could not have been more helpful and everyone took time to guide you, recognising your lack of experience
Great set of support in place from grad recruitment right through to a personal counsellor and buddy to help you through day-to-day tasks
It was not the busiest part of the year yet there was still a vast amount of work to complete. Always a different project on the go, and good opportunities to be part of some medium-long term tasks
I was given plenty of opportunity to speak to clients and carry out my own work without a more senior colleague present. They were, however, willing to help if I did not feel I had the confidence
Great sense of achievement at end of internship and really helped to relate my course to the real world, highlighting why I am studying at university
The Company
The remote nature of the work means that the office is rarely occupied by everyone. Yet there is still a good network of nights out 'and social activities organised by the social committees.
Communications was fast and efficient and my full program for the internship was mapped out before I began so that I was never left looking for work. Good mix of social, CSR and client work
They really made a great effort to show how they will continue to support me through my final year at university and how I will be trained if I gain a place
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
Healthcare from home
Very pleased with opportunities for the future
The Culture
We had several regional conversion events before the internship began so I knew all fellow interns in Scotland well. There were then introductory and final events in London with all UK interns meaning we could all meet and keep in touch throughout the 6 weeks
Stayed close to home so used to it but generally around the outside London average
The nightlife is good with plenty of bars and clubs
Plenty of nights out, organised and ran a charity day, took part in a CSR activity day and endless networks and societies to join if interested.
