The Role
The placement was fun, but mostly because of the nature of the job. I was working as an independent developer and therefore was organizing my own time and "fun".
I was very well received and treated seriously, like any other professional.
The management was supportive, but could not have received any guidance since I was the only person working in the IT sector.
I was very busy, had to complete many tasks every day.
I was responsible for the whole project and its success or failure was almost entirely dependent on me.
I developed a lot of technical, as well as interpersonal skills.
The Company
The atmosphere was ok for a small company.
I was given freedom in the ways in which I completed the tasks. Therefore, unless I planned my own time - the placement would be fairly unstructured.
No training or personal development has been applied during this internship.
Flexi Time
Working from home
The company is small and the placement was a fixed term one. As good experience as it was, there are no future prospects for permanent employment within this company.
The Culture
I was the only placement student at the company.
I did not live in the area, I was commuting.
I did not live in the area, I was commuting.
There were some opportunities to go out with co-workers.
