The Role
Was made to feel part of the structures team from day one of my placement. Gave me an invaluable experience into work as a structural engineer.
I felt like a well valued member of the team and the engineers always had the time of day for me.
Had a mentor that gave me support and guidance throughout my work placement. No problem was too little.
Engineers ensured i always had something to do to help me gain experience helping different engineers with a variety of different projects.
A perfect balance was given to me during my placement. I felt as though i had a lot of responsibility which was amazing but also new i had the support and guidance required if there was any problems, therefore not too much responsibility.
I gained invaluable experience during my placement learning about an amazing company, the work they do, and most importantly helping me develop my skills as a professional engineer.
The Company
A perfect balance between social and working environment.
I was welcomed on the first day with my own desk and all equipment etc i would require and they had organised for me to work with different engineers. Very well organised.
I felt they helped me develop well and gave me some good training. They made me feel as though they wanted to invest in me and as i qualify from university i will have a good opportunity of getting a job with a tremedous company.
Sports and Social Club
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Hopefully will have the opportunity to work at motts when i qualify next year.
The Culture
All colleagues within the office tried to ensure there was a good social scene, with events outside work hours and social events on fridays such as pizza hut for dinner on a friday or a night out in the city centre and to restaurants.
Expensive to live and socialise in leeds city centre but also a good place to live and socialise.
Brilliant.
A lot of opportunities. I attended meals, drinks and was invited to events such as bike rides and five a side football.
