The Role
It took a few weeks to warm up to the pace of the job, but the work and level of responsibility put my way was fantastic. I was doing a proper job, directly impacting the service and recommendations we gave to clients.
We went for a meal and drinks once of twice, and there was good banter in the office!
All the training was top notch. Both within my team and from the training staff I received all the help I need right the way through. They were patient with me and didn't care if I asked the same things more than once!
I was very busy a lot of the time, but that's what I wanted!
I was left to my own devices after a couple of months, though a lot of the work has to be checked over by another team member anyway.
Fantastic experience that will surely help when I come to get a proper full time job after university
The Company
Good chat and sense of humour from all those around me, but definitely a serious environment to work in first and foremost.
I was well catered for from day 1 and always treated like a proper member of staff by everyone around.
Full training and help with all I needed to do to the same high level as the other staff.
Financial Bonus
I was told I'd be welcomed back if I wanted to return - not quite as concrete as a genuine job offer, but as good as!
The Culture
I didn't really get myself involved too much, but people clearly went out for a drink every now and then.
Well, it's London!
It's London, so I guess it's fine. Just not my scene really. I was there to work and gain experience, not go clubbing round the corner!
Lots of things ranging from charity events to talks in schools. I didn't get involved, but it was clear that Saunderson House had a lot going on all the time.
