The Role
I was given fantastic opportunities for personal and professional development. The work was varied and interesting, providing specific and transferable skills.
An intern was seen as a real opportunity for the individual and the business and therefore valued by everyone.
My manager and the internship supervisor were both very involved in making sure the experience was right for me.
I was able to seek out work when I wanted/required more and therefore was able to strike a good balance for myself.
I was able to work on big projects and own my own pieces of work.
I started a process of development there that will only benefit me in my future.
The Company
I was sat with some very senior people, this meant they were often not at their desks. This wasn't much of a problem because I was usually very busy myself and therefore didn't want any outside distractons. People were however available to help should i need/want it.
A lot of good was included but since this was the first year it ran there were many teething issues especially prior to my arrival/ on my first day.
I was able to visit many sites and attend multiple training days for the job and for myself.

London Prices, as expected.
Lived in central London, something is always going on.
within GSK There were Gym class opportunities, social nights out and clubs such as football available to those who wanted.
