The Role
It was my first real work experience, so I do not really have any point to compare with. However, I have enjoyed the placement.
Most people are helpful, friendly and smart. Some people might be a bit closed, until you broke the first ice with them though.
Whenever I need some help, there was someone to help me.
There were pointes in the time when I felt I have too much work to do. But, thanks to that I could experience the diversity in my tasks.
My main project turned out to an important for the company and I was the only one working on it. Therefore, I was given a lot of freedom in completing my task.
It was my first work experience after my first year of uni. Therefore, I think it will have a huge impact on my future.
The Company
As I wrote before, some people are closed and do not tend to socialize. It makes sometimes the office so quite that it is difficult to believe you work with so many people.
Everything went smooth.
There are "lunch and learn" sessions every week and lots of other events. During that sessions, there was a chance to meet many very important people, among others visitis of professors at Stanford, Cambridge and so on.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
I was offered a return offer for the next year.
The Culture
We had a few events, though they were usually poorly organized.
I live in London and it is way cheaper in Cambridge than London.
It hardly existed.
Mostly volunteering.
