The Role
I loved every minute of it. I looked forward to coming into work everyday.
All of my colleagues respected me as an employee even though I was only an intern. I felt very involved and a very important part of my team.
All of the jobs that I was given were explained very clearly to me and if I had any questions or help while doing the work it was always available. I also met with my manager fairly frequently to discuss my work and how I was getting on.
Day to day work was hard but nothing that wasn’t manageable. I was always busy with something.
In the team that I was working in, I was given jobs that were normally assigned to full time employees, which was good. I felt like I had a lot of responsibility.
I noticed a marked improvement in my communication skills by the end of the internship which will be important when I’m working in the future. I also improved my teamwork skills as I was working in a team for the whole internship.
The Company
The atmosphere was very open and I could talk to my team members at any time. This helped with productivity as there was constant communication between the members of my team.
From what I could see, everything was planned out very well. I was told exactly what I would be doing at the very start.
They gave me all the necessary training at the start of the internship and gave me good advice on how to improve my work throughout the internship. The feedback I got was really good.
Company Parties/Events
They offered me a job!
The Culture
The social scene was great. I got along very well with the other interns. We went out together for lunch everyday.
The costs were quite high. The only thing that wasn’t that good.
I thought that the clubs in the surrounding area were pretty good. Some were better than others but on the whole, very good.
We had a few events that we could go to during the internship. Gave us a good opportunity to socialise with the other interns as well as employees in the company.
