The Role
It was a good experience. It gave me a good opportunity to experience working in a big company.
I was given a warm welcome and I got along well with my team. They were very sociable and friendly. When I was doing the work, they listened to everything that I had to say so, yes, I felt I was valued by my colleagues.
I was given all the support that I need to do the jobs I was given effectively. And of course, any questions that I had, I could ask my manager.
Some days were busier than others but I feel like the work was distributed quite evenly and kept me busy.
At first I was given some small jobs to get into the swing of things but as I went on in the internship I was gradually given bigger jobs that current employees would tackle.
I learned how to work as part of a big team of people. Naturally this environment improved my communication as well as my teamwork skills.
The Company
It was quite a formal office setting but I could still openly express what I had to say without feeling out of place. The atmosphere really helped me to produce some great work.
The internship was fairly organised but there were some points where I felt like I didn’t really know what I was doing without asking my manager. Thankfully this didn’t happen very often and these issues were very quickly resolved.
I was given training at the start of the internship to prepare me for the jobs that I would be given. I was also given great feedback from my manager which I thought was very helpful as it allowed me to identify issues and fix them.

I got a graduate job with them :)
The Culture
The social scene was good. All of the other interns were sociable and we would meet up quite often to get some drinks at the pub.
I found that it was very expensive, though I was expecting it.
I visited a few clubs while I lived in London and I found them to quite average. I’m sure there are good ones in the area, just not the ones that I visited.
I went to a couple of dinners that the company paid for which was great. We also had some sports events that we could go to.
