About You
Worked with recent graduates, who were always available to answer any questions I had. There were lots of socials and the general atmosphere in the office was always relaxed.
There wasn't much responsibility given as the internship was for 3 weeks.
My team mates were always available to answer questions and give me duties.
Taught me a lot about accounting terminology and developed my communication skills.
The Company
Socials organised and there was training given before the internship started.
Everyone was very friendly. Lots of socials were organised to interact with people in the office (between departments). There was a good work/life balance, most people left by 6pm.
Paid stay in a hotel in Birmingham, including meals and alcohol. The company gave training for the job and the partner interview.
I was doing the same work as a graduate.
I spent most of the time in the office, so got to meet a lot of the employees.
I definitely want to pursue accounting as a career and Deloitte is a great company to start off my career.
Everything Else
Paid internship and I was reimbursed travel expenses.
There was an AGM followed by a BBQ, to network with employees including partners.
There wasn't much to do in Gatwick, but there were socials every week.
There are some sports clubs.
Friendly atmosphere and a great insight to audit.
