The Role
Great place to work and I generally enjoyed of work I did, but the lack of a project to properly get stuck into meant time did drag sometimes.
I felt that a lot of the work I was given was useful to the department and company, and my colleagues were supportive and helpful.
My manager was friendly and always available for any questions I had, and she and the other people I did work for were happy to talk about my work or give me advice.
Apparently I came at an awkward time when a lot of very large projects were wrapping up, so I was unable to get stuck into any project properly. Not their fault, but it did mean work was scarce sometimes. Some days I was very busy and happy to be so, but though I always had work, some days I struggled to make it fill my entire day.
I was always completely responsible for my own work, which I feel was useful to the department.
I felt it was a steep learning curve at times but I'm certain I came out with a huge amount more experience and skills than I went in with.
The Company
Very friendly atmosphere.
Training at the beginning and regular presentations to give the interns exposure to all areas of the business I thought were very well organised.
They gave us two days of training at the start of the placement on the investment industry, after that it was into the work environment but my colleagues were always happy to give me help when I needed it so that didn't at all end the learning process.

Didn't receive a job offer at the end.
The Culture
Large group of other interns who ate lunch together, regularly met up after work and went out one or two nights a week.
